SKILLS DESIRED:
- Army Logistics Corps (Quartermaster/Transportation) experience or equivalent. 90A, 92A, 920A/B, 92Y, 92Z MOS preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and attention to detail — proven ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support Plans.
- Knowledge of DoD property accountability policy and guidance.
- Experience in conducting initial/annual property inventories, evaluating on-hand supply and equipment inventories, and comparing them to known requirements.
- Experience with primary and sub hand receipts, property transfer procedures, property accountability documentation, property discrepancies and issues, such as pecuniary liability, AR 735-5, Policies and Procedures for Property Accountability.
- Experience/understanding of properly tagging and tracking all property using automated property tracking and accounting system.
- Extensive knowledge of logistics systems, principles, concepts and methodologies with the ability to perform analytical tasks using automated systems support.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Army logistics automated information systems – STAMIS/GCCS-A/CSSCS/PBUSE, etc. and their use/relationship to operations and management of logistics.
DUTIES:
- Responsible for developing plans for accounting for Government property, maintaining the master inventory, positively controlling all equipment items, coordinating transport, tracking location, and coordinating storage.
- Develop innovative solutions to logistics challenges by capturing significant amounts of data using an auto-scan tracking system in order to recommend improved ways for property accountability and supply chain operations.
- Conduct multimedia data entry, perform scanning and retrieval systems functions, generate routine reports, and perform technical research functions for customer inquiries, in addition to requisition and procurement processing.
- Maintain and prepare necessary accounting and supply documents, maintain custody records, perform reconciliations, and take timely action to ensure corrective action of problem areas.
- Solve data output interpretation problems or contact appropriate sources to resolve questionable areas.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Five years or more experience in U.S. Army logistics
- Experience with Army Logistics automated information systems (PBUSE)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Excellent inter-personal skills
- Must be self-directed and detail-oriented
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred. DoD education in Army logistics related disciplines would be a plus.
- Must be a US citizen
- Have or eligible for a SECRET security clearance
- Willing to travel up to 10% of the time
